Exam Information
You can start our courses at any time of the year, but the most common time is September/October. Exams takes place in May/June so you will normally take exams around 20 months after starting a course, although it is possible to complete the iGCSE course within just 7-8 months and achieve your grade the following year.
Exams are taken at a third party examination centre. Some schools offer this service to external candidates, but we recommend using Tutors and Exams examination centres. Tutors and Exams have exam centres throughout the UK.
When the time comes, we will provide you with all the information you need to register for the correct set of exams. We’ll also discuss with you whether a Lower or Higher examination route is most appropriate for you (where available for a particular exam) to maximise your chances of the best possible grade.
We recommend that you register with an exam centre by December in the year before your exams. While this is before of the set deadline for most exam centres, registering ahead of time can give you peace of mind and help you avoid late fees.
Exam fees are paid direct to the examination centre and are NOT included in our course fees. You should expect to pay around £200-£300 per subject, depending upon the number of papers involved.
Note that deadlines vary across exam centers but for a rough frame of reference, latest deadlines typically fall around February to March in the year you take their exams (but there is sometimes a “late admissions” fee if you leave it to book this late).
